Peter Andre Talks Potty Training
Wednesday, 18 June 2008

mr_fp_254459.jpg

Australian pop star Peter Andre gives us some insight on what it’s like potty training his 3-year-old son Junior in New! Magazine this week. Peter and model wife Katie Price are parents to Harvey, 6, whose biological father is footballer Dwight Yorke, Junior, 3, and Princess Tiaamii, 1 on June 29.

Junior is still giving me grief over his potty training and I’m currently trying to encourage him to wear his big nappy pants so that he feels grown up. The thing is, he always asks me to go to the loo with him. Then he tricks me by going, but then without fail he does a poo in his pants afterwards! He knows exactly what he’s doing, the little monkey. I bet Princess will be potty trained before him!

Nicole Kidman Does Vogue

Nicole Kidman, 40, graces the cover of the July 2008 issue of Vogue. Inside there’s a 16 page photo spread taken by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz, while Nicole was filming Baz Luhrmann's, Australia. Here’s some highlights from the interview:

On being pregnant: “The whole experience is so primal.” When asked if she is really 7 months along (since her baby bump is so small), she replied, “Just look at how I’m sitting here with my legs apart”-her knees out at a 45-degree angle. “This is the way you have to sit when you’re pregnant.”

On living in Tennessee: “I’ve been in Tennessee, just sitting. We have a farm there, and I have an organic vegetable garden. This is a path I’d not taken before. My mum’s always gardened. My sister gardens. And I’ve now conformed to the Kidman women’s hobby of gardening. And it is just a hobby. I’m not feeding the troops. There’s a softness to the Tennessee landscape that I just love. It’s very beautiful out there. We have deer and wild turkeys.”

On carrying her own child: “When I first saw the baby on the ultrasound, I started crying. I didn’t think I’d get to experience that in my lifetime. I like the unpredictable nature of it. To feel life growing with you is something very, very special, and I’m going to embrace that completely. I don’t believe in flittering around the edges of things. You’re either going to walk through life and experience it fully or you’re going to be a voyeur. And I’m not a voyeur.”

Chris O’Donnell first swooned us in a series of great films such as Circle of Friends and Scent of a Woman. He’s back in the charming family film, Kit Kittredge: An American Girl, co-starring the adorable Abigail Breslin.

In real life, Chris and his wife Caroline have five children: Lily, 8, Chip, 7, Charlie, 4, Finley, 2 and Maeve, 6 months. Chris plays Mr. Kittredge, a dapper dad with a precocious daughter who face hardship during the Great Depression. Following is a rare interview with the busy dad.

On preparing for this role which deals with a father not able to provide for his family: “I’ve got kids of my own; We all love our parents and we love our spouses, but until you have your own kid you don’t really know what that kind of love is. It’s where you would put yourself in front of a moving train for your kid and I think that you understand what that must have felt like. Mr. Kittredge’s trying to protect his daughter as most parents do and not have her worry about the hardships of what was going on in their time. And when she sees him in the soup kitchen, he’s forced to tell her a little bit more about what the realities are and what they are going to have to do. He tries to put the best spin on it or prepare her for it by telling her that story about his car - don’t let it beat ya, and as parents that’s about all you can do. It’s a situation where he has to go off to find work.”
